American band Wilco will be performing for the first time ever at Starlite Occident on Wednesday, August 16th.

Wilco became critical favorites and cult heroes on the back of a stylistically diverse body of songs from founder Jeff Tweedy. Rising from the ashes of the seminal alt-country band Uncle Tupelo, Tweedy assembled Wilco’s first lineup from the membership of UT’s final edition in 1994.

Decades later and evolving from a rough-and-tumble alt-country act into a mature and eclectic indie rock ensemble, Wilco is one of the most critically acclaimed American rock bands of the last 20 years. They have released 8 LPs, a live album and several collaborations.

Their all-time classics, such as “Jesus, etc.”, “California stars”, “If I ever was a child”, “When the roses bloom again” or “How to fight loneliness”, as well as their most recent album, “Ode to joy”, released in the fall of 2019, will sound live at the Nagüeles quarry. A one-time opportunity, at Starlite Occident.
